Why kaleidoscopes?
Kaleidoscope Pedagogy is an energiser - a pedagogical companion.
Inspired by a visit to Italy, the concept uses the metaphor of a kaleidoscope to shape and expand thinking. Just as a kaleidoscope reveals ever-changing patterns through a simple shift in perspective, this approach invites educators to view children, families, and communities in new and evolving ways.
It encourages us to notice complex and often hidden connections, uncover fresh possibilities, and illuminate ideas that may have otherwise remained unseen. Through this lens, educators are supported to think deeply, challenge assumptions, and engage in responsive, and reflective practice.
